BONNEVILLE GP BIKES

Great time at the races. I gotta admit though, there was a bigger turn out last year. However, the velocette (#7 - third one down) was such a beautiful bike. I could stare at that thing all day. Not to mention it won the 250gp class by more than half a lap.

Tomorrow! Woo-hoo! Love this stuff. Meeting at the car show on 39th South and 320 East from 10-12, then we'll all ride out. So pumped for this. It was a great time last year. Even Doering is coming in from Vegas.

LOVE HATE RELATIONSHIP

The reason I love Harley's is also the reason I hate them. I love the feel of how mean, tough and powerful they feel. They're loud, and they vibrate. If you've ever ridden a Harley, more than likely, you fall in love with them. And despite everything you hear about them (you know, always falling apart and stuff) you want one. They just feel cool. It's that big twin vibration feel. And that sound, i'm not even gonna start on the sound. I'll just say two words... BAD ASS. Well, unfortunately, as you might know, that all has consequences. It rattles EVERYTHING loose. After a while, you figure out which bolts come out the fastest. And for me, I have a little checklist I usually go through before big rides, just to make sure nothing is going to fall off down the road. Well, today i've added tail light lens fasteners to my list. Funny now, that just about covers every bolt on the bike... PERFECT! Nothing else should be falling off. Oh, if anyone has a spare lens laying around, let me know. Thanks!

720 ARCADE!

720 is up and running! Big thanks to Cody for taking the time to research and diagnosing the problem. It'll probably be on ebay in a couple months to help pay for the bills we have from not working.

 

TAKE BACK UTAH

Those 'emergency' banners I printed last weekend that put my bike projects on hold were for the Take Back Utah rally. I'm not really a political guy, but I fully support this rally. I was happy to stop everything to help out. If you hate watching the government take over our public lands, you really should go to this. Anyone and everyone matters.

 

THE BRP - BIG RED PIG

The BRP lost some serious weight this weekend. I'm not even sure if I can still call her the BRP. I'm guessing there's gotta be atleast 20-30 pounds in that box. So here's what I did: New bars, shaved/lowered risers, new brake line, new baxter grips, took out some wiring along with signals, speedo, tach, horn, mirrors, hand controls, warning lights and indicators, new throttle assembly, new starter button, new on/off switch, and a new hi/lo beam switch. Did some serious cleaning and polishing too. Looks good for now, so I probably won't be doing much until winter at least.
